Vickerstock are working in conjunction with an award-winning client based in Westmeath to assist with the recruitment of a Head of Maintenance.

They will equip you with the necessary resources to excel in constructing, overseeing, and enhancing your team of engineers, collaborating closely with Operations, Projects, and Production to optimise site performance.

Your new role as the Head of Maintenance.

• Driving a preventative maintenance programme for all facilities, plant and equipment that can support a standard of operations consistent with all certifications desired or achieved by the company;
• Identifying opportunities to incorporate new and advanced technologies with a focus on cost reduction and process improvement.
• Communicating and motivate all staff through effective supervision including training.
• Providing appropriate input into the performance evaluation system (deciding promotions, wage increases and terminations of employment)
• Supervising and managing all technical staff as identified on the organisational and reporting charts, ensure achievement and enforcement of all subordinate job descriptions/tasks.
• Developing Key Process Indicators (KPI's ) for technical operations and staff.
• Overseeing the development of the Standardised Operating Procedures, Model and enforce all company policies and procedures.
• Liaising with the Operations and Production Manager on technical matters.
• Monitoring facilities, plant and equipment for damage (wear and tear) also investigate damage to facilities, plant and equipment

What you will need to succeed as a Maintenance Manager;

• It is essential you are a qualified electrician to be shortlisted for this position.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in FMCG, Pharmaceutical or related industry at management / supervisory level.
• Ideally 60% Electrical bias.

• Experience with Maintenance/Facility management and relevant regulations.
• A qualification in Health & Safety, such as NEBOSH or equivalent, would be an advantage.
