Vickerstock are working in conjunction with a leading FMCG company in Westmeath to recruit a Junior Maintenance Engineer.

As a Junior Maintenance Engineer, you will have the benefit of joining a team of multiskilled skilled Maintenance Engineers that will help train, guide and challenge you to improve and learn new skills to help enhance your development.

Your Responsibilities as a Junior Maintenance Engineer,

• Update the preventative maintenance management system including stores transactions and work carried out.
• Fault finding.
• Ensure all parts are promptly ordered as required.
• Responsible for completion of all planned maintenance routines both inside and outside of normal hours as required.
• Input into the computer system and carry out preventive maintenance routines and work instructions.
• Utilization of all resources such as manuals, service contracts and external contractors to aid in breakdown recovery.
• Observing all on site and legislative rules and regulations in terms of health and safety, food safety and environmental.

As a Junior Maintenance Engineer ideally you will have,

• Ideally you will have at least 1 year experience within a High Quality/High Volume manufacturing environment (food, pharma, plastics, packaging etc).
• You will have a mechanical or electrical qualification.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Computer literate.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
