Maintenance Engineer
Salary: 60,000 euros
Schedule: Monday - Friday (3 shift Rotation - Days / Afternoons / Nights)
Location: IJmuiden
Type: Full time

Role Overview
In this role, you'll be at the heart of the operation - keeping production and utilities running smoothly day in, day out. You'll take ownership of maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, combining technical skill with a proactive approach to problem-solving and improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair equipment faults to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems.
Support complex repairs and collaborate with technical specialists or external contractors.
Propose and implement improvements to maintenance processes and schedules.
Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and maintenance activities.
Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards (GMP, HACCP).
Provide technical guidance to production teams during troubleshooting or maintenance tasks.
Your Profile
Qualified technician with experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance (E&I experience an advantage).
Skilled in fault finding, diagnostics, and problem-solving under pressure.
Able to work independently and as part of a team within a shift-based structure.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Fluent in English (Dutch is an advantage).
