Maintenance Engineer

Co. Armagh

£47,000.00 (Shifts) + Excellent benefits package

Vickerstock are currently working in partnership with a well-established manufacturer who serve a broad and diverse client base spanning several industries including the Energy and Water sectors.

You will play a key role in this process by ensuring that machinery and equipment is maintained to the highest possible standards and that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You receive support and encouragement from a devoted team, as well as recognition for your efforts and contributions.

Day to day duties will include;

  • Carrying out planned and unplanned Maintenance/repairs within targeted timeframes.
  • Carrying out installation of new factory machinery and equipment.
  • Ensuring that working areas are kept clean and safe.
  • Responding to breakdowns, identifying the cause of problems that arise and swiftly carrying out the necessary remedial actions.
  • Keeping accurate and up to date records of faults that arise, and any remedial action carried out.
  • Communicating effectively with other members of staff and departments.

Please note that this list is not exhaustive and that you may be required to carry out other duties when necessary.

Requirements for this role;

  • Time served in an Electrical or Mechatronic discipline, with post apprenticeship experience working in a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of automated control systems.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills as well as the ability to work competently on your own.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of health and safety guidelines within manufacturing.
