£44K (Night shift)
Vickerstock are proudly working in partnership with our client, a leading provider of recycling and waste management across the UK and Ireland, with a commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable practices. They are currently on the lookout for a Maintenance Fitter with a Mechanical bias to join their team in Toomebridge to play a vital role in ensuring that their operation runs smoothly with minimal machinery/equipment downtime.
Duties will include
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components and parts.
- Perform light fabrication and machining tasks as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the facility's smooth operation.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and tidy working area.
Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to carry out additional tasks in line with business needs.
What you will need
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- A commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
