Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm based in Dundalk on the appointment of a Material Planner. This role is Maternity Cover for 12 months an may lead to a long term contract.
Reporting directly to the Material Planning Manager you will be responsible managing inventory levels and the procurement of a range of components, ensuring all materials are on site, on time for the smooth day to day running of production.
In your new role:
Running reports and providing rolling forecasts to suppliers
Determining the required materials and generating replenishment plan
Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations
Drive inventory and cash flow objectives in line with corporate goals
Minimise inventory obsolescence and identify and manage cost drivers
Back-order/shortage reporting and root cause analysis
Support sourcing activities to drive material cost improvements and availability
Responsible for accurate and timely reporting to Supply management on stretched performance metrics to drive continuous business improvements
Identify process improvements throughout supply chain
What you will need to succeed:
2 years material planning and purchasing experience
Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred
