Our client is an expanding, established engineering company who is part of a much larger group. They have a local growth plan that sees them go through extensive expansion over the coming 3 years and these two new design positions are just the beginning of this - meaning you will be joining an established design team at a great time of breaking new ground.

The role of Mechanical Design Engineer (Project Design):
The position is very project mechanical design oriented, working in a team environment. Full projects are taken from concept, right through development and then down on the manufacturing floor and then out to commissioning. This role can occasionally require visits to the client at the point of commissioning. The role will involve frequent use of solidworks, drawing up Bill of Materials, designing with the view of minimum wastage and efficiencies.

The role of Mechanical Design Engineer (Project Design):

• A minimum of 2 years experience within Mechanical Design Engineering or Project Design on similar products
• A competency in 3D design - Solidworks, Pro Engineer / Creo, Solidedge or Inventor
• A relevant 3rd level qualification in an engineering related subject
• Strong communication and people skills
