Our client is an expanding, established heavy metal product engineering company who is part of a much larger group.

The position is very R&D project mechanical design oriented, working in a small team environment. Full projects are taken from concept, right through development and design for manufacture. The role will involve frequent use of solidworks, drawing up Bill of Materials, designing with the view of minimum wastage and efficiencies etc.

Essential criteria for this role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Project Design):

• A minimum of 3 years' experience within Mechanical Design Engineering or Project Design on similar products
• A competency in 3D design - Solidworks, Pro Engineer / Creo, Solidedge or Inventor
• A relevant 3rd level qualification in an engineering related subject is preferred, however more related design experience will be considered
