Mechanical Estimator | Hybrid

Vickerstock are proud to be working alongside a long standing Mechanical and Electrical engineering company who work across sectors such as Commercial, Education and Healthcare throughout NI, ROI and the UK. This company has developed a strong reputation through their ability to deliver on multi-million-pound contracts, Facilities management and other MEP projects. In recent years the have rebranded and expanded their teams and due to demand and contract awards and now have a number of Commercial roles available including a Mechanical Estimator.

Your new role as a Mechanical Estimator

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the commercial team by producing technical Mechanical take offs for a range of commercial projects, ability of taking tenders through from conception to handover when project is secured, strong communication skills to liaise with Subcontractors and suppliers, reading and analysing Mechanical drawings, identifying any potential risks during the tender bid process, and preparing schedule of rates.

What you will need to succeed as a Mechanical Estimator

• 3 years' previous experience in a similar role working on Commercial contracts
• Experience working solely on Projects between 500K - 1million
• Mechanical technical knowledge
• Ability to work as part of a busy estimating team
