Vickerstock is thrilled to announce our collaboration with a leading client in the food ingredients industry, based in Dublin. We're currently on the lookout for an NPD Technologist to provide temporary maternity cover.

In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting new products and refining processes. Your tasks will include producing sample products to meet NPD briefs from customers and spearheading internal projects to enhance overall product efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently execute NPD projects in line with the NPD Stage Gate framework, ensuring timely completion with the involvement of relevant cross-functional personnel.
• Conduct thorough taste panels and shelf-life studies, meticulously documenting and responding to results.
• Demonstrate commercial acumen in sourcing materials for trials and kitchen samples.
• Innovate solutions to streamline manufacturing complexity.
• Identify and implement material cost-saving initiatives and foster open communication.
• Show flexibility and adaptability in addressing R&D challenges, contributing actively to the NPD team's development.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Food Science.
• Over 3 years' experience in the food industry.
• Strong understanding of ingredient functionality.
• Proven track record of generating new product ideas.

This position offers standard office hours from Monday to Friday. Remuneration will be competitive, ranging from €50,000 to €70,000, based on experience.
