Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with an FMCG manufacturing firm based in Belfast on the appointment of a Planning Manager.
You will be managing and leading a team made up of 2 Production Planners, 1 Material Planner & 1 Logistics Team Lead driving continuous improvement initiatives and collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement best practices.

In your new role:
- Report directly to the Regional Supply Chain Manager
- Responsible for all planning activities including material planning, production planning, scheduling, warehousing and logistics, and distribution planning
- Balance demand and supply in the most optimal way in terms of volume, revenues, costs and margin and develop scenarios for decision making
- Responsible for ensuring inventory levels are optimised considering the balance of customer service expectation and cost
- Implement inventory and replenishment targets
- Identify and execute, with support from relevant functions, improvements to the systems in order to improve the efficiency of the team
- Work towards KPI targets: Customer On Time In Full (OTIF), Inventory Budget / Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), Days of Coverage (DOC), Conformance to Plan (CTP), Logistics Optimisation, Slow Moving and Obsolete Stock inc. Write-Off, Supplier Performance & Raw Material stock-outs
- Work on continuous improvement projects identifying, bench-marking and implementing Supply Chain best practices
What you will need to succeed:
- A minimum of 5 years experienced working within a planning department in a fast paced, manufacturing environment
- A minimum of 2 years management experience within a planning and/or purchasing department
- A proven record of success in carrying out continuous improvement projects within a fast paced, manufacturing environment
