Vickerstock are working in partnership with one of NI's leading manufacturing companies for the appointment of a Process Engineer for their Logistics department. Reporting to the Head of Logistics you will be responsible for processes, methods, equipment and tooling to improve material handling safety, quality, velocity & cost.

Your new role

• Responsible for exposing waste within the logistics/stores process and developing plans to reduce/eliminate it to improve the cost competitiveness of the business.
• Support Operational management in the implementation of lean tools and techniques within the logistics/stores and manufacturing functions.
• Lead Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
• Development and Approval of Logistics processes and documentation.
• Development of Lean Manufacturing Principles including Standard Work, Safety FMEA's.
• Develop and Maintain Effective Resource Plans and Layouts (Material and Equipment).
• Improve design for manufacture by taking ownership/contributing towards the product-based manufacturing issue logs.
• To coordinate the internal flow and introduction of new product and concepts into logistics/stores, focusing on impact changes to manpower, materials, equipment and factory layout to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Responsible for logistics facility layouts and efficiency / effectiveness.

What you'll need

• Educated to third level in an engineering related subject.
• Experience in a similar Process/ Continuous Improvement role within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment.
• Experience in lead projects.
