Vickerstock are working in partnership with a top bespoke commercial interior fit-out company for the recruitment of a Production Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the industries most respected employers that have a forward-thinking approach to their business.

Your new role as a Production Manager

• Manage a production team of 70+ employees including joinery CNC machine shop, assembly shop and finishing shop
• Hold daily meetings with direct reports ensuring that goals are clearing communicated and addressing any issues
• Weekly production reports on output, efficiency and quality, identifying areas of improvement
• Provide clear instruction to production teams on targets and work across teams to ensure labour resources are allocated
• Responsible for dealing with any employee issues regarding performance or conduct
• Ensure H&S compliance and best practice
• Identify training gaps and ensure all team members clearly understand expectations
• Gain an overview of all jobs released to production through attendance at contracts to production handovers
• Support team leader's workflow planning to achieve required delivery dates raising any date conflict
• Attend weekly operations meeting providing a clear update on delivery readiness, and project handover plans
• Ensure upkeep of all machinery to a high standard and timely response to breakdowns

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ Years leading at a middle to senior level in a job shop manufacturing environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others
• Demonstrated ability to lead process innovation and change
• Working knowledge of MRP systems
• Working knowledge of manufacturing quality management systems
