Production Manager - Food Manufacturing
Vickerstock is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Production Manager for their Newry-based facility.

- Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
- Holidays: 28 days (including 8 statutory days)
Your day to day
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead, motivate, and develop your teams to consistently deliver against key performance targets across output, efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
- Leading and developing production teams through effective communication, shift planning, and performance management.
- Driving performance against core KPIs including productivity, yield, waste, and quality.
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards at all times.
- Working cross-functionally with technical, engineering, and planning teams to ensure smooth and efficient factory operations.
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Your essential ingredients
We are seeking a strong, hands-on leader with a proven background in food manufacturing, ideally within meat or chilled food environments.
- Demonstrated experience in a production leadership role within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- A solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP).
- Excellent communication and people management skills, with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
- A flexible, proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability in a fast-moving environment.
