Vickerstock are excited to be working in partnership with our global FMCG client who are proud to be one of the UK's and Irelands largest producers in their field and are seeking to appoint an experienced Production Stores Group Leader to join them at their impressive state of the art factory in Carrickmacross.
Reporting to the Production Stores Manager you will optimise and aid manufacturing performance by implementing new and improved standards with a key focus on team member safety & development, product quality and product optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Stores team, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Promote a strong safety culture through proactive training, coaching, and risk management.
- Deliver production stream objectives aligned to business strategy and customer requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement using OPEX/CI tools to reduce waste and improve reliability.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with SOPs, quality, and safety standards.
- Monitor KPIs, analyse data, and resolve issues through structured problem solving.
- Manage resources effectively to optimise labour, waste, and OEE performance.
- Lead projects, support audits, and engage with customers where required.
- Foster engagement, collaboration, and cross-functional involvement in improvement activities.
Experience Required:
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
- Strong background in health & safety compliance and promoting a safety-first culture.
- Practical experience with continuous improvement / OPEX tools (e.g., Lean, 5S, structured problem solving).
- Experience in process optimisation, waste reduction, and improving OEE.
- Confident in data analysis, KPI tracking, and reporting.
- Skilled in performance management, including recruitment, training, and succession planning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Working Hours:
- Monday - Thursday 12:00 midnight - 7.30am
- Friday 10pm - 7.30am
