Production Supervisor (Food)

Vickerstock are excited to be partnering exclusively with our Food Manufacturing (meat) client where integrity and trust is at the heart of the business on the appointment of Production Supervisor for their Dungannon site.

As Production Supervisor you will ensure production order are completed on time and in specifications and all operational targets are met while ensuring high quality products.

  • Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4.30pm


What a typical day as Production Supervisor will look like:

  • Daily planning of the production schedule and correct stock rotation.
  • Ensure that the department conforms to Company Codes of Practice, policies, legislation and customer requirements and good housekeeping is maintained.
  • Work with team leaders to ensure all product produced meets the QAS.
  • Ensure all orders are produced on time.
  • Ensure department KPI's are met, including yield, giveaway, efficiency, and labour and understand the financial implications.
  • Ensure skill matrix are up to date, identify training needs and put a training program in place to ensure succession planning in the department.
  • Lead by example, coach, motivate and challenge the team. Give feedback.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities, reduce waste, and promote continuous improvement. Encourage the team to bring forward ideas.
  • Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations.


Your essential ingredients:

  • Minimum 1 Years Supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, together with the ability to assist in leading and motivating a team
  • Basic IT knowledge (additional training on in-house systems will be provided on appointment)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in food manufacturing
