Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing
Vickerstock is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Production Supervisor for their Newry-based facility.

This role offers the chance to become an integral part of a respected manufacturing business on an upward trajectory. You'll be at the heart of operations, collaborating directly with management and production teams to keep day-to-day manufacturing running smoothly in a high-energy environment.

  • Holidays: 28 days (including 8 statutory days)

Your day to day
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will support the smooth running of day-to-day production operations. You will supervise production teams on shift, ensuring targets around output, quality, efficiency, and safety are met.

  • Supervising and supporting production teams, ensuring clear communication and effective shift handovers.
  • Monitoring performance against key KPIs including productivity, yield, waste, and quality.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Liaising with technical, engineering, and planning teams to help maintain efficient factory operations.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and highlighting opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Your essential ingredients
We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor with experience in food manufacturing, ideally within meat or chilled food environments.

  • Experience in a supervisory or team-lead role within a manufacturing or factory setting.
  • A good working knowledge of production KPIs and continuous improvement practices.
  • An understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP).
  • Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to motivate and support teams.
  • A flexible, practical approach with good problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
