Vickerstock are working in partnership with a dynamic Construction Consultancy firm based in Belfast. Due to the company's reputation and proven ability to deliver premium projects, they have developed a strong pipeline of newly awarded contracts, they now wish to expand their commercial team with the addition of an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
Your new role as a Quantity Surveyor
Reporting to the senior management team, you will oversee the cost management of various Educational & Commercial Build projects across the UK and Ireland.
Your role will consist of managing several contracts from pre-construction stage through to handover. Day to day responsibilities would include; estimating and cost planning, monthly cost and progress reporting to the client, value engineering, cost variances, final accounts, monitoring cash flow and valuation. You will attend monthly client meetings ensuring work is being carried out per the programme and within agreed timeframes to ensure quality, profitability and value meet the requirements of each project.
What you will need to succeed
BSc Hons degree in Quantity Surveying or a construction related subject
5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor position or Cost Management
Proven ability of managing contracts from inception to handover to the value of 1 million
Experienced in JCT contracts
Desirable; (Not essential, don't worry if you don't have these just yet)
MRICS Chartered Status
Experience working within a consultancy environment
