Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our Red Meat Manufacturing client who are committed to maintaining the highest level of quality products on the appointment of Quality Assistant for their Armagh based site.

What your day to day as Quality Assistant will look like:

• Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform microbiological and chemical analyses on samples collected from different stages of production.
• Document and maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and corrective actions taken.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and address quality issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits by regulatory agencies or customers.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality-related matters.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in production areas.
• Assist in investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to food safety and quality assurance.

What you will need to succeed:

• Previous experience in a quality assurance role within the food industry is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Familiarity with HACCP principles and food safety management systems.
