Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our client a leading supplier to the frozen foodservice industry on the appointment of Quality Control Operative for their Newry based site.

Working in conjunction with strong Production and Technical teams, the successful applicant will provide support with the following duties:

• Complete relevant product safety checks on a fast-paced production line including outturn, weight checks, metal detection and labelling checks.
• Complete monitoring documentation and uploading data to company communication portal.
• Scanning of materials daily from the company system.
• Ensure Product changeovers are undertaken as per company policies.
• Label printing and issuing.
• Undertaking Prestart up checks.
• Responsible for collating, labelling and recording of daily waste and recyclable materials for the packing line.
• Other duties as required by the management team

What you will need to succeed:

• Good written and spoken English.
• Flexible, adaptable with a can do and keen to learn attitude
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• The ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and have excellent attention to detail
• Work well within a team.
• Full training will be provided.
• Previous experience in food desirable but full training will be given.
