Quality Manager | Co Armagh

Working in partnership with our leading Food Manufacturing Client, we are currently recruiting a Quality Manager to join our clients growing team in their modern Co. Armagh facility.

Reporting to the Technical Manager you will be involved in all areas of Quality, Technical and Food Safety ensuring the highest standards for our customers at all times.

What we have to offer:

  • Salary £30-40k DOE
  • Monday to Friday working week

Your day to day as the successful Quality Manager

  • Support the Technical Manager in all relevant Technical and Quality areas of the business
  • Maintain the Quality Manual and systems to the required BRC standard
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding any quality or food safety issues
  • Work in collaboration with DAERA & EHO and maintain a good working relationship
  • Supervise and manage the QA staff and Hygiene staff
  • Work alongside the Production Manager and Supervisors to ensure that all production activities and work practices meet the required standards
  • Ensure that all QA related paperwork is completed, recorded and filed accurately
  • Work in conjunction with the management team to ensure all technical audits are managed effectively
  • Deputise for the Technical Manager on occasions
  • Proactive approach in new initiatives to drive quality improvements (continuous improvement)

Your essential ingredients to succeed as a Quality Manager

  • Proven experience working in Quality / Technical Manager role
  • Third level qualification Degree or HNC/D in a relevant food related discipline
  • Food Safety & Hygiene qualification (Level 3) or equivalent (or working towards)
  • Ability to effectively plan and organise to meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills and an ability to record and present information in a concise format.
  • Driven and flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy team environment.

  • Driving licence and access to a car for transport is a requirement for this position.
