Vickerstock are working in partnership with our client who are one of Irelands leading producers within the cooked meat industry and are seeking to appoint a Quality/Technical Assistant to join the team.

With over 60 years' experience delivering products that are consistent and delicious, they supply to Ireland, UK and Worldwide markets and are in a large, continued period of growth.

As a Quality/Technical Assistant you will report to the Technical Manager and be responsible for

• Report & implement corrective & agree preventative actions resulting from any Food safety issues/non-conformances.
• Liaise with customers on Product specifications, satisfaction, complaints.
• Monitoring of trending of product testing results & of customer complaints & report findings to senior management.
• Review & update systems & procedures as deemed necessary.
• Working with other team members to prepare for company visits and audits.
• Aid Technical Manager to Implement and maintain the requirements of the Quality Management system and HACCP System and maintain compliance to relevant BRC Standard for Food Safety, relevant customer Standard, Bord Bia MPQAS Standard & DOA Certification.
• Liaise with the Production & Operations Director for continuous improvement of systems & processes.
• Monitor Production practices so as to ensure Quality/Foods Safety of all products produced is achieved.

We are looking for;

• Experience in a Quality/Technical role within food manufacturing
• Ideally a Level 3 in Food Safety/HACCP qualification

Working hours will be Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm and in return you will receive an hourly rate depending on skills/experience.
