Junior Quantity Surveyor | Fit-out

Vickerstock are working in partnership to offer a position with a Specialist Joinery and fit-out Contractor based in Belfast. This client has been expanding its portfolio of projects over the past few years across NI and the UK. With manufacturing facilities based in Belfast, this local contractor has the ability to produce high end, bespoke projects which has resulted in continuous contract awards and company growth. Due to this growth and a strong order book for 2023, their aim is to expand their team with the addition of a Junior Quantity Surveyor.

Your new role as Junior Quantity Surveyor

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your new role will cover a range of tasks including negotiation, site measure, review of contract documents, subcontractor procurement, payment applications, agreement of variations and final accounts. Prepare cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets to ensure successful, efficient project delivery.

What you will need to succeed as a Junior Quantity Surveyor

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role in Fit-out or Build
  • Degree level of education in Quantity Surveying or construction related subject
  • Be proactive and ability to work well under pressure
  • Good communication, negotiation and IT skills including Microsoft packages i.e., Excel

Desirable - (Do not worry if you don't have these)

  • Experience in Conquest or Causeway package would be advantageous
