Senior Mechanical Estimator

Vickerstock are working with a local building services company who specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of pre-fab solutions for the commercial M&E sector across the UK and Ireland. The company has grown significantly over recent years with continuous investment in both their teams and facilities. As a result of this growth, they are now seeking to expand their commercial team with the addition of a Senior Mechanical Estimator.

Your new role as a Senior Mechanical Estimator

Reporting to the Estimating Manager your day-to-day role will include, analysing tender drawings & documentation, carrying out Mechanical take-offs from schematics & 3D design factoring in labour and material costs onto estimating software, sending out subcontractor enquiries, comparing and reviewing quotations, ensure all tenders are submitted accurately and on time, maximising profit and customer satisfaction as well as attending client meetings when required.

What you will need to succeed as a Senior Mechanical Estimator

• Degree qualified in mechanical engineering, quantity surveying OR significant industry experience.
• 3+ years' experience in a mechanical estimator role working on commercial or industrial projects to the value of 1 million.
• Experience working on NEC3/4 contracts

Desirable - (Don't worry if you dont have these just yet)

• Experience of estimating software Amtech
