Senior Quantity Surveyor

Vickerstock are collaborating with a local MEP Client who specialise in the design, supply, and installation of a wide range of pre-fab solutions for the commercial M&E sector on multimillion pound contracts, a trusted name across the UK, Ireland & Europe. This company has grown significantly over recent years with continuous investment in both their teams and facilities.

As a result of this growth, they are now seeking to expand their commercial team with the addition of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Your new role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring successful project delivery by managing the overall financial costs of assigned contracts. Review of contract documents with a detailed risks analysis highlighting any potential issues. Negotiate with suppliers and Sub-contractors, review contractor documents and pricing ensuring best price & quality is achieved, award packages. Produce monthly valuations, managing variations and change orders. Liaise and advise Project teams to assist and provide commercial advice when required, prepare monthly cost reports, WIP, and monthly analysis of budgets identifying any variances and additional works ensuring all work is carried out to successfully deliver projects within agreed deadline and budgets.

What you will need to succeed

  • BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management or relevant industry experience within a similar role.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working on large contracts over £1 Million

  • Proven ability of managing multiple contracts simultaneously.

  • Commercially astute with a motivated & Driven personality.

  • Strong contractual knowledge of both JCT and NEC Forms of Contract.

Desirable - (Not essential so don't worry if you don't have these)

  • Experience working within the Commercial M&E sector.
