Vickerstock are working in partnership with a multi-disciplinary contractor who have recently secured a range of new projects. This company have delivered on numerous large scale Commercial, Design & Build and Interior Fit-Out contracts across Ireland.
Based in County Armagh, this company have grown significantly over the past 2 years with ongoing ambitions to progress further. With multiple locations across the province, they now require an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and take on their ever-growing pipeline of works.
Your new role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will be overseeing the cost management of high value projects. Responsibilities include; taking off quantities from technical drawings, producing Bill of Quantity, negotiating with sub-contractors & suppliers, site measure, review of contract documents, subcontractor appointment, conducting pre-start meetings with supply chain, change management on the contracts, payment applications, agreement of variations and final accounts. Preparation of cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets to ensure successful, efficient project delivery through to handover.
What you will need to succeed
BSc Hons in Quantity Surveying or 3rd level qualification in a relative construction subject.
5+ years' experience within Build or Fit-out
Experience of working on NEC or JCT contracts
Proven ability of working on contracts from £5 Million to £10 million plus
