Senior Quantity Surveyor

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a premium multi-disciplinary Build, Civil Engineering, and facilities management company with offices in Belfast and Magherafelt.

This contractor has been awarded major defence and Commercial build contracts across Northern Ireland and the UK, due to this continued success, they now require an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

This newly created role is a result of on-going growth plans for the business and expansion into new sectors in 2023.

Your new role as Senior Quantity Surveyor

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for negotiation, site measure, review of contract documents, Bill of Quantities, subcontractor procurement, payment applications, agreement of variations and final accounts. Preparation of monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets to ensure successful, efficient project delivery within agreed deadlines.

What you will need to succeed as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

• 5+ years' experience in a similar role
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or extensive experience in a similar position
• Contractually aware of JCT type contracts
• Be proactive and ability to work well under pressure
• Good communication, negotiation and IT skills including Microsoft packages i.e., Excel
