Senior Quantity Surveyor

Vickerstock are excited to work alongside this well known Tier 1 Build and Civil Engineering contractor based in Co. Down, to assist in the recruitment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This major construction firm have an annual turnover of over 200 million as well as a prestigious reputation for providing high end, quality projects across the UK and Ireland. This newly created role is due to consistent project awards across the UK and Ireland you will play a key role in ongoing and new projects across the UK.

Your new role as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting the commercial team on all aspects of projects. Responsible for site measure, preparing, negotiating, and analysing contract documents, BoQ's and programs, ensuring all works are carried out within the agreed budget and timescale. Manage the procurement of sub-contractors and payment documentation while overseeing contracts. You will advise and support the commercial team, be involved in decision making to ensure projects are ran efficiently and meet all compliance regulations. Travel to sites throughout the UK will be required, all expenses will be covered.

What you will need to succeed as a Senior Quantity Surveyor

• BSc hons in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
• 5+ years' experience from a Civil background with experience working on Highway (i.e. A26) or railway projects.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts including JCT & NEC Forms of Contract
• UK travel will be required as determined by project demand

Desirable (Great if you have but dont worry if you dont posses this) - Chartership qualification
