Vickerstock Recruitment are delighted to be working with one of Northern Ireland's leading main contractors to recruit for the position of Site Manager. With a number of specialist divisions including Construction, Civil Engineering and Fit Out, this organisation has the capability and expertise to deliver highly complex projects across the full built environment spectrum. With offices across the UK, this local success story is now one of the UK's largest contractors and continues to go from strength to strength. This particular role is located in London, working on a£120 million project consisting of 2 large commercial buildings and a multi-storey carpark.

Your new role as Site Manager

As Site Manager, you must have a full understanding of the type of building contract and the role of each sub-contractor package whilst working closely with the lead Building Services Manager, Project Manager and Professional Quantity Surveyor. You will issue permits for MEP and close out accordingly. You must have an understanding of any off-site Highway works and be able to manage the process via meetings with relevant parties. As Site Manager, other duties will include: completing material/equipment orders; carry-out Health and Safety responsibilities; raise NCR's when necessary.

What you will need to succeed as Site Manager (it is great if you have these, but don't worry if you don't)

  • Good construction experience in: commercial; retail; healthcare; education (either refurbishment or new build)
  • Experience in managing subcontractors in line with health and safety and environmental legislation (First Aid at Work)
  • CSCS/CSR card and SMSTS qualification
  • Good experience of temporary works procedures
