Vickerstock are working in partnership with our FMCG client who deliver high quality products to consumers worldwide. With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and excellence they take pride in their contributions to the industry and due to continued growth they are seeking to appoint an experience Technical Manager to join the team.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager you will oversee and manage the technical aspect of operations, this plays a critical role in ensuring products meet and exceed industry standards while driving continuous improvement.

Key duties

• Lead Food Safety, Quality and legal compliance for the site ensuring that the appropriate structures, processes and metrics are in place to deliver optimum performance.
• Manage compliance to the site Food Safety & Quality standards.
• Manage HACCP for the site.
• Report on Food Safety and Quality compliance to the Senior Leadership Team.
• Support the site Operations manager and Operations team on day-to-day activities, coach and trouble shoot activities for improvement.
• Drive a strong performance ethos for all direct reports.
• Plan, implement and drive a positive Food Safety Culture for the site.
• Plan and monitor the Annual budget for the Department.
• Manage all customer and regulatory audits.
• Further duties can be provided at application stage.

We are looking for:

• Third level qualification in relevant field
• Leadership experience in a food production setting
• Experience of leading audits within food
• Strong technical background and knowledge of BRC and HACCP
• Ability to analyse, understand and solve problems
