Building Control Technical Support Officer - Facilities & Environment
Vickerstock are working in partnership with Lisburn City Council to recruit a Building Control Technical Support Officer to support the delivery of an efficient, effective and equitable Building Control Service. This is a temporary role within the Environmental Services directorate, supporting the Council's statutory duties under Building Regulations, associated legislation and environmental management.

The successful candidate will make a positive contribution to the achievement of service objectives and support the day-to-day operation of the Building Control function.
The Role

• Assisting with the administration and enforcement of Building Regulations and allied legislation
• Supporting the delivery of an efficient and effective Building Control service
• Contributing to environmental management activities as required
• Assisting in the achievement of service objectives and operational targets
• Undertaking other appropriate duties reasonably assigned by the Operations Manager

What You'll Need

• Experience working within a technical, regulatory or local government environment
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to work accurately and manage competing priorities
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• In depth understanding of Building Control or regulatory services
