Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing distribution business on the appointment of a Transport & Fleet Manager. Our client is currently in the process of relocating operations to their NI site, giving the successful applicant the chance to work with autonomy in creating structure in a growing transport department and fleet.

As the Transport& Fleet Manager you will have full responsibility for the development and maintenance of excellent service levels to enhance continuous improvement across numerous sister companies, with a primary focus on the NI site.

In your new role:

• Manage and resolve Transport, POD query resolution for site fast and efficiently.
• Responsible for the growth and maintenance of company fleet.
• Oversee the effective usage of the company TMS
• Oversee relationships with 3rd party providers
• Liaise with other group business units on the development of SLAs
• Amend and improve the existing transport infrastructure and processes
• Ensure that your team are adhering to company policies and regulations.
• To set strategic objectives to create motivation and job satisfaction for all staff reporting direct to the post holder.

What you will need to succeed:

• CPC qualification (advantageous)
• Experience managing a team of drivers
• Strong fleet management experience
• Experience in or knowledge of Transport Modelling Systems
• Strong management capability with a confident and positive approach to challenges.
