Warehouse Manager (FMCG) | Lurgan | circa £40k

Vickerstock are proud to be working with their Client - a global giant in Warehousing & Logistics - with the appointment of a Warhouse Manager to join their established team in their Lurgan facility.

  • Shifts: Monday - Friday (7am - 4pm), 1 in 3 weekends

Your day to day as the successful Warehouse Manager

  • Oversee all daily activity, ensuring all supervisors are in control and driving performance.
  • Provide updates to the Warehouse Operations Manager at regular intervals.
  • Oversee blast intake and ensure receipt accuracy, fresh groupage inbound and outbound accuracy ensuring all customer orders are fulfilled as per loading schedule.
  • Monitor shift & individual performance through visible observations and supervisor feedback.
  • Ensure all daily and weekly targets (measures or KPI's) are achieved.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager to understand strategy and direction of the warehouse.
  • Actively supporting and driving new initiatives to create a more efficient, service driven & cost-effective operation
  • Support with the creation of new and updated work instructions, SOP's & SSOW.
  • Own the training matrix for all accountable employees, ensuring that that the full team are operating in line with their trained ability at all times.
  • Conduct daily & weekly team briefs, providing an overview of performance, position, H&S messages and any company news that may be relevant.
  • Ensure an effective handover is completed at the start and end of shift.
  • Ensure all accident & incident reports are completed in timely manner, escalating to all the relevant people as required
  • Engage with the team to promote near miss, incident & accident reporting
  • Promote an 'audit ready' mindset across the team, actively addressing any areas that need attention. Provide recommendations for any areas that need further investment or support

What you'll need

  • Previous Management experience in food or warehouse business
  • Ability to positively influence and communicate to others
  • Strong leadership within a fast-paced environment operating multiple functions
  • Work efficiently across all areas of the Warehouse in a fast-moving organisation
  • Openly and constructively challenge
  • Effectively problem solve
