Accounting & Finance Professional
Ballymena
Permanent/Part Time (17.5hrs per week)
Vickerstock are delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an Accounting & Finance Professional. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the accounting function within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will operate in a stand-alone finance role, managing the day-to-day financial activities of the business while preparing accurate and timely management accounts.

Your new role
As the Accounting & Finance Professional, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining purchase, sales and nominal ledgers
- Completing supplier statement reconciliations
- Preparing budgets and forecasts and monitoring performance against these
- Managing credit control processes
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Analysing financial data, producing reports and making recommendations
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Completing VAT returns
- Supporting the preparation and submission of grant-related information
- Assisting with other duties as required within the finance function
What you will need to succeed
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar finance/accounting role
- AAT/ATI qualified, or part-qualified with a recognised professional body (ACCA, CIMA, CAI etc.)
- Strong organisational, communication and time management skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Desirable Criteria
- Third level qualification
- Fully qualified accountant
