Bid Manager | Belfast
Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established, multidisciplinary design consultancy to recruit a Bid Manager for their Belfast office.
This is a key appointment within the business, supporting continued growth across public and private sector projects. The role would suit a Bid Manager with either an architectural or engineering background, or someone who has worked closely with technical design teams and understands how to translate complex design capability into compelling bid submissions.
You'll work closely with senior technical and commercial stakeholders, playing a central role in securing new work and shaping the consultancy's approach to bidding and business development.
Your new role as Bid Manager
As Bid Manager, you will take ownership of the bid process from opportunity identification through to submission, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end bid lifecycle, including PQQs, ITTs, and framework submissions.
- Coordinating inputs from architects, engineers, and senior leadership to develop strong technical responses.
- Writing, editing, and tailoring bid content, including methodology, CVs, and project case studies.
- Developing and maintaining bid libraries, templates, and standard responses.
- Managing bid programmes and ensuring submissions are delivered on time and to a high standard.
- Supporting continuous improvement of bid processes and win strategies.
- Assisting with wider business development activity where required.
What you'll need to succeed as Bid Manager
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:
- Proven experience in bid management within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Background in architecture, engineering, or the built environment, or strong experience working with technical design teams.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Confidence engaging with senior technical and commercial stakeholders.
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong commercial mindset.
What's in it for you?
In return, you'll receive a competitive salary and the opportunity to play a pivotal role within a growing consultancy, including:
- Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
- Hybrid and flexible working options.
- Opportunity to work on high-quality, design-led projects across multiple sectors.
- Supportive and collaborative working environment.
- Clear opportunity to develop and progress within the business.
- Long-term career stability within a respected consultancy.
