Job description

Vickerstock in partnership with a Leading food manufacturing company, are on the lookout for an experienced Business Development Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and lead business development initiatives for the company's beef stock product range across EU markets.
  • Identify and develop new B2B customer relationships in food manufacturing, foodservice, retail supply, and industrial ingredients sectors.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, presentations, pricing, negotiation, and closing high-value deals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to maximise retention, growth, and repeat business.
  • Provide informed technical product knowledge and support to customers.
  • Gather market and customer feedback to support continuous improvement of the product line.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements within the beef stock and protein ingredient sectors.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and operations teams to ensure product specifications meet market expectations.
  • Contribute to long-term planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
  • Represent the company at trade events, exhibitions, and customer site visits across the EU.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience selling beef stock, meat extracts, broths, or related food/ingredient products (essential).
  • Strong understanding of EU food manufacturing, ingredients, or B2B foodservice markets.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Existing network of relevant buyers/decision makers is highly desirable.
  • Full flexibility to travel within the EU.
  • Full, valid driver's license.
  • Fluency in English; additional EU languages an advantage.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of EU food manufacturing, ingredients, or B2B foodservice markets.

Preferred Skills

Existing network of relevant buyers/decision makers is highly desirable.
