Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with a food manufacturing firm based in Wexford on the appointment of an EHS Manager.
You will be responsible developing, implementing, and managing the environmental, health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
In your new role:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop their understanding of EHS requirements and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformance and improve compliance.
- Provide leadership and guidance to employees at all levels on EHS matters, including training and development initiatives.
- Stay informed about emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices, and incorporate relevant changes into company policies and procedures.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, and auditors to ensure compliance and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Oversee the implementation of EHS management systems, including documentation and record keeping requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS culture throughout the organisation.
- Lead investigations into Health & Safety incidents, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
What you will need to succeed:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an EHS Management role.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health and Welfare at work.
- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Management.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
- Experience developing and implementing EHS management systems.
- Experience managing regulatory EHS inspections.
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
