Job description

Graduate Process Engineer - Water | Belfast

We're currently working with a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that has a strong reputation for delivering water and wastewater solutions across Northern Ireland, Ireland and the UK. Due to continued growth within their water team, they are now seeking a Graduate Process Engineer to join their Belfast office.

Your new role as Graduate Process Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to gain practical, hands-on experience working on diverse water and wastewater treatment projects, as part of a small team led by a highly experienced Associate Engineer.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the process design of water and wastewater treatment works, including calculations, mass balances and process selection
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical reports, design documentation and project deliverables
  • Working closely with civil, mechanical and electrical engineers on multidisciplinary schemes
  • Supporting process modelling, optioneering and performance assessments
  • Attending site visits, commissioning activities and client meetings as your experience develops

What you will need to succeed as Graduate Process Engineer

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
  • Between 0-2 years' experience (graduates are very welcome to apply)
  • A genuine interest in water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

What's in it for you?

If successful, you can expect:

  • A competitive graduate-level salary and benefits package
  • Structured training, mentoring and professional development support
  • Exposure to a wide range of water and wastewater treatment projects
  • Clear progression opportunities within a growing water team
