Vickerstock are working in partnership with an industry leading design & manufacturing firm in the Dungannon area on the appointment of a Logistics Coordinator.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be the lead point of contact for logistic coordination. You will be responsible for the transport co-ordination, freight costings and compliancy aspects of a busy multi-brand Logistics department.
In your new role:
You will be the lead point of contact for all logistical coordination
Develop strong working relationships with key contacts and suppliers
Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to update on the progress of orders
Obtaining freight costings and updating and maintaining freight rates
Completion of export paperwork for machine orders, providing accurate documentation in accordance with relevant legislation, customer and carrier requirements
Oversee audits both internally and externally
Ensure your department meets all compliancy rules & regulations
Handling customer complaints & queries with an empathetic approach to ensure the issue is resolved in a calm and efficient manner
Ensure the timely and successful delivery all products according to customer needs and objectives
What you will need to succeed:
2 years' experience in a similar role
Experience in a high-volume business, shipping to a global customer base
Minimum of 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English at grade C or above
Strong MS Office skills, in particular excellent proven working knowledge of MS Excel
Desirable (It would be great if you have this but don't worry if you don't)
Working knowledge of Oracle ERP system
Experience in a high-volume business, shipping to a global customer base
Experience of all modes of transport including Heavy Haulage and Ro-Ro shipping
