Maintenance Engineer

Monday - Thursday 7am to 3.30pm, Friday 7am to 2.30pm
Salary €52,000 per annum

Vickerstock are working in partnership with our specialist FMCG global manufacturing client who are on the search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the well-established team at their state-of-the-art factory in County Wexford.

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for

• Preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production lines and plant equipment.
• Continuous improvement of production processes equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects to improve the operating effectiveness of equipment.
• Familiar with all relevant SOPs, equipment validation and controls for the operation and safe running of lines.
• Maintenance planning: plan the scope of work required, ensure all spares are in stock and available, organise external vendors.
• Assist with training of machine operators on machine set up, fault correction, adjustment, etc.
• Be observant & work off your own initiative when a fault is detected & to take action based on your best judgment on whether to effect immediate repair or not
• Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies

Criteria

• Qualified Mechanical Engineer with Electrical skills
• Experience within a factory maintenance environment
• Excellent troubleshooting skills

Working hours will be Monday - Thursday 7am to 3.30pm and Friday 7am to 2.30pm.

Package

• €52,000 per annum salary
• Pension Scheme after completion of probation
• Death in Service Benefits
• 20 days holidays + public holidays (rises after duration with company)
