Role Overview
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will ensure the site's production machinery operates safely, efficiently, and with maximum uptime. Working within a fast-paced food environment, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on production and packaging machinery
Deliver both planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
Diagnose faults and provide effective, lasting engineering solutions
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and enhance performance
Maintain accurate maintenance records in line with site and audit requirements
Ensure all work complies with health & safety and food safety standards
Your Profile
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification
Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience
Background in food manufacturing or FMCG highly beneficial
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills in a production environment
Self-motivated, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
