Production Line Leader (Food Manufacturing)

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Production Line Leader to join their growing operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced food production operative or team leader to step into a well-supported leadership role, with clear career progression and development pathways.

Your working week:

  • You will work 5 days per week Monday to Saturday with a day off in lieu.
  • Hours: 7.45am-5pm (41.25hr week)
  • Overtime is paid after 40hrs at time and a half

Your day to day:

  • Ensure the efficient production of high-quality food products in line with customer specifications and deadlines.
  • Operate, monitor, and oversee production machinery, including carrying out effective changeovers.
  • Perform pre-start checks and report maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Support hands-on production duties including packing, grading, and preparing product as required.
  • Accurately complete production documentation (manual and/or computerised), including calculating output figures.
  • Supervise and coordinate production operatives on the line, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards across all production activity.
  • Train and mentor new staff on production line procedures and ensure SOPs are adhered to.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain seamless production flow.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness across equipment and workspaces.

Your essential ingredients:

  • Previous experience working in a food manufacturing or industrial production environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
