Job description
Vickerstock are working in partnership with an industry engineering firm based in Portadown on the appointment of a Production Planner.
Reporting directly to the Programme Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining the master production schedule, including no past due requirements.
In your new role:
- Develop S&OP reports regarding demand and operations plans
- Report performance on plan accuracy to management
- Determine tie-breaker calls during schedule conflicts
- Maintain planning bills of material
- Maintain schedule linkage between the master production schedule and S&OP plan
- Schedule all requirements into the schedule (service, actual, distribution, forecasted etc.)
- Communicate with sales regularly to manage order sequencing
- Manage costs by understanding changeover effects and planning accordingly, balancing inventory costs with (lack of) manufacturing flexibility
- Develop and maintain the rules of engagement for order management, including master scheduling policy
- Oversee scheduling of upcoming NPI
- Assess risks within the schedule and communicate appropriately
- Maintain accuracy in the scheduling process
- Review and propose all inventory strategies (MTS, ATO, MTO, ETO etc)
What you will need to succeed:
- A minimum of 1 year experiences in a similar role
- Previous experience working with MRP/ERP systems
