Co Monaghan

Fulltime/Permanent

Monday - Friday, 40 Hours

Vickerstock are working in partnership with our specialist food processing client in Ireland and UK who have doubled production in the last 5 years and continues to do so, due to this they are seeking a full time/permanent Quality Assurance Technician to join the team at their site in Monaghan.

As a Quality Assurance Technician reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring of the Food Safety Management system, including the HACCP plan, pre-requisite programme and documented SOPs within the business to ensure Food Safety.
  • Ensuring compliance with Legislation, BRC, and retailer/ customer standards.
  • Support and risk manage process change initiatives to ensure appropriate level of validation and verification.
  • To conduct Internal audits across the site and communicate the results of internal audits and work with Management and supervisors on effective close outs.
  • Involvement in projects, ensuring completion within agreed timeframes and involving key stakeholders.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles daily in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and change management.
  • To monitor Production Quality KPI's and proactively report trends and liaise with production teams in problem solving.
  • Complete complaint investigations, completing root cause analysis and ensuring that corrective and preventative actions are put in place in a timely manager.
  • Collaborate with Production teams and Maintenance teams to set standards, solve problems, and implement corrective actions.

We are looking for:

  • Minimum recognised 3rd level qualification in a Food Science related discipline.
  • Food safety and Quality mindset with commitment to continuous improvement and delivering right results first time.
  • Have knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control, knowledge of food legislation, GFSI standards including BRC.
