Senior CNC Programmer

Belfast

Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a cutting edge specialist manufacturing company based in Belfast for the appointment of a Senior CNC Programmer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be working with the most recent technology producing low volume production components.

Your new role

• Deliver high-quality programs within specified timelines, adhering to best practices and utilizing supplied drawings, CAD files and specifications.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to develop machining strategies to maximise throughout of printing times and resolve technical issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining problems
• Work closely with operators to set up and prove out first off parts. Oversee and provide technical support to machinists and operators on the factory floor.
• Work with production schedulers to ensure critical milestones are met in a fast paced environment with tight delivery dates.
• Program CNC equipment on-line and off-line
• Quote machining work for internal and external customers
• Work with other departments to improve operating efficiency, minimise waste and help with system improvements.
• Compliance with strict quality requirements including maintaining accurate records of production work and results.

What you'll need

• Educated to HND level
• 5 years of 5 axis CNC programming milling experience in high precision components
• Experience of programme validation
• Experience in adhering to IS09001 standards
• Experience in MasterCam software
• Experience in manufacturing small-batch precision components, preferably in motorsport, aerospace, or a similar environment
