This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to play a senior role in the delivery of large-scale, high-profile construction projects across the UK and Ireland. You'll be working within a supportive consultancy environment alongside seasoned professionals to manage projects from inception through to completion.
Your new role as Senior Construction Project Manager
As Senior Construction Project Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of major construction schemes, bringing clarity and structure to all phases of the project lifecycle. You will work closely with clients, multi-discipline design teams, contractors and internal leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the delivery of large construction projects across varied sectors.
- Overseeing projects from pre-construction planning through to practical completion.
- Managing and mentoring junior project staff as part of a collaborative team.
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and ensuring effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Producing high-quality reports and project documentation for senior management and clients.
- Implementing contract administration responsibilities, including JCT, NEC or similar forms.
- Ensuring delivery aligns with programme, quality, and budget targets.
What you'll need to succeed as Senior Construction Project Manager
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:
- Significant experience (8-10+ years) in construction project management, ideally within a consultancy or client-facing environment.
- A degree in a construction-related discipline, with chartered status or progression toward it desirable.
- A proven track record of leading high-value construction schemes from concept to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong report writing capability.
- Experience in contract administration duties and familiarity with key industry contracts (such as JCT/NEC).
- Proficiency with project planning tools such as MS Project (or similar).
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence project outcomes through effective decision-making.
What's in it for you?
In return, you'll receive a competitive package and the opportunity to build on your experience within a respected professional services environment, including:
- Competitive salary, reflective of experience and capability.
- Hybrid and flexible working options to support work-life balance.
- Exposure to large, high-profile construction projects across public and private sectors.
- Collaborative working with senior delivery professionals and technical experts.
- Clear progression pathways and ongoing professional development support.
- A supportive environment where your expertise is valued and applied to complex projects.
