Job description
Senior Construction Project Manager | Dublin
Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established construction and infrastructure consultancy who are launching a new Dublin office and are seeking to appoint a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to play a leading role in its development.
This is a senior appointment offering a genuine opportunity to help establish and grow a new regional team, while leading the delivery of complex infrastructure projects across Ireland. The role would suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in infrastructure, energy, rail, or data centre projects, who is motivated by both project delivery and longer-term leadership progression.
For the right individual, there is a clear pathway to Director level as the Dublin office grows.
Your new role as Senior Infrastructure Project Manager
As Senior Infrastructure Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of major infrastructure projects from early planning through to completion, while also contributing to the strategic development of the Dublin operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects across sectors such as energy, rail, utilities, and data centres.
- Managing projects from early feasibility and planning through detailed design, construction, and handover.
- Acting as the primary client interface, building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and overseeing contractor performance.
- Managing programme, cost, risk, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Preparing and presenting project reports to senior clients and internal leadership.
- Supporting business development, bid activity, and the growth of the Dublin office.
- Playing an active role in shaping processes, culture, and future team structure within the new office.
What you'll need to succeed as Senior Infrastructure Project Manager
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:
- Significant experience in project management within infrastructure-led environments.
- Proven delivery experience on projects within infrastructure, energy, rail, utilities, or data centre sectors.
- A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- Chartered status or progression toward chartership (desirable).
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing programme, cost, and risk.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ambition and capability to take on a future leadership or director-level role as the business grows.
- Experience working in consultancy or client-facing project management environments.
What's in it for you?
In return, you'll receive a competitive package and a rare opportunity to shape a new regional presence within a respected consultancy, including:
- Competitive salary, reflective of seniority and experience.
- Opportunity to join at a pivotal stage in the establishment of a new Dublin office.
- Clear and realistic pathway to Director level within the growing team.
- Exposure to major, technically complex infrastructure projects.
- Autonomy, influence, and the chance to shape how projects and teams are delivered locally.
- Supportive senior leadership and a collaborative consultancy culture.
- Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
