England | Home-based with weekly travel to South East office
Salary: c. £60,000 + car allowance, bonus & benefits
Vickerstock are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing supplier to UK food and drink manufacturers to recruit a Senior Customer Development Manager to drive sustainable commercial growth across a portfolio of B2B customers.
This is a high-impact, senior commercial role with clear progression into broader commercial leadership over time.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and growing a portfolio of strategic B2B customers across the UK and Ireland.
You will work closely with internal teams across technical, operations, supply chain and finance to deliver customer-focused, commercially robust solutions while driving sustainable, profitable growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership and development of a portfolio of key B2B customers supplying into food and drink manufacturing.
- Delivery of sustainable sales growth through value-led selling and long-term partnerships.
- Identification and conversion of new commercial opportunities within existing and new accounts.
- Leading new business opportunities from initial prospecting through to close.
- Accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and commercial reporting.
- Contribution to pricing strategy, margin management, and commercial planning.
- Building strong, trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders.
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required.
- Representing the business professionally at customer meetings and industry events.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience in a senior B2B sales role within food or drink.
- Strong track record of managing and growing key customer accounts.
- Experience working with food manufacturing customers (essential).
- Excellent commercial awareness with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging at senior stakeholder level.
- Highly organised, proactive, and resilient.
