Job description
Senior Construction Project Manager | Dublin
Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with a growing construction and project management consultancy who are launching a new Dublin office and are seeking to appoint a Senior Construction Project Manager to play a leading role in its development.
This is a senior appointment offering a genuine opportunity to help establish and grow a new regional team, while leading the delivery of building-led projects, with a particular focus on aviation, education, and complex public-sector developments. The role would suit an experienced Project Manager with a strong buildings background who is motivated by both hands-on project delivery and longer-term leadership progression.
Your new role as Senior Construction Project Manager
As Senior Construction Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of major building projects from early planning through to completion, while also contributing to the strategic development of the Dublin operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of building projects across sectors such as aviation, education, and public-sector estates.
- Managing projects from early feasibility and design stages through construction and handover.
- Acting as the primary client interface, building trusted, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and overseeing contractor performance on site.
- Managing programme, cost, risk, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Chairing project meetings and preparing clear, concise reports for senior clients and internal leadership.
- Supporting business development, bid activity, and the growth of the Dublin office.
- Playing an active role in shaping local processes, team structure, and delivery standards within the new office.
- What you'll need to succeed as Senior Construction Project Manager
To be considered for this role, you should demonstrate:
- Significant experience delivering building projects within a consultancy or client-side project management environment.
- Proven experience working on aviation, education, healthcare, or complex commercial buildings.
- A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Chartered status or progression toward chartership (desirable).
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing programme, cost, and risk.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ambition and capability to progress into a future leadership or Director-level role.
What's in it for you?
In return, you'll receive a competitive package and a rare opportunity to shape a new regional presence within a respected consultancy, including:
- Competitive salary, reflective of seniority and experience.
- Opportunity to join at a pivotal stage in the establishment of a new Dublin office.
- Exposure to high-profile aviation and education and building projects.
- Autonomy, influence, and the ability to shape how projects are delivered locally.
- Supportive senior leadership and a collaborative consultancy culture.
